Common Questions About 1% Commission Listing

How can you offer the same services as a traditional agent, and only charge 1%?

Real estate has evolved. With technology driven sites such as Zillow or Realtor.com, everyone has more access to home buying and selling information. We simply don’t believe it’s necessary or right to continue charging 3% for listing services since technology available to us today has made us more efficient.

How much does it cost to have a realtor sell your house?

Traditional realty services typically cost between 5-6% of the final sale price. This commission is split between the buying and selling realtors. Discount realtors charge differently than traditional structures. Listing at 1% means you will pay 1% to the listing realtor and we recommend 3% to the buying realtor, for a total of 4%. This means if your house sells for $100,000, then you would spend $4,000 total in commissions with a 1% listing realtor, and save $2,000.

Will my home sell quickly?

Home sales depend on the available market and the price you have your home listed. We will work with you to recommend the appropriate price point to sell your home in the current market and ensure it is professionally listed and presented.

  As experienced home sellers, we used Jimmy's $999 flat fee MLS service. There are many websites out there offering the service for less money but the listing agent they partner with may not be the most responsive in directing inquiries to the FSBO seller (we looked into this and even mock called a few). We were looking for someone reliable and responsive and Jimmy more than met our expectations. Professional, patient, knowledgeable, helpful and very responsive.
